A study of trends was carried out at Deloitte which highlighted the evolution of cities until 2030. With the intervention of technology, large urban centers will take into account efficiency, innovation, collaboration and convenience.
Twelve trends that aim to shape the future of cities by 2030 were highlighted. As decisive elements for this purpose, the growth of technology, biometrics, cloud systems and artificial intelligence is necessary. Given privacy and cybersecurity, it is believed that cities will promote the importance of data privacy, as well as the need to prepare for an eventual cyberattack. Deloitte also predicts that cities will use artificial intelligence, either to enable efficiencies and resolve issues, or to ensure data security and privacy with tools such as facial recognition and crowd management systems.
The study of trends (Urban Future with a Purpose: 12 tendências que marcam o futuro das cidades até 2030) was coordinated by a portuguese Deloitte team.
