Politico reported ChatGPT is starting to experience a “world of regulatory pain in Europe”. OpenAI, the US company behind the chatbot, faced a temporary ban to process personal data by Italy’s data protection authority, the Garante. Other European supervisory authorities are thinking of future actions to be taken. Both the Irish Data Protection Commission and the Belgian data protection authority referred a possible coordination between all EU data protection authorities.
