ICO aims to prevent the misuse of customer personal data

The U.K. Information Commissioner's Office is inviting young individuals to share their encounters with instances of "text pests". This phenomenon occurs when someone shares their personal information with a business, and later, an employee makes inappropriate romantic advances towards the customer. Research commissioned by the ICO discovered that 29% of individuals aged 18-34 have experienced unsolicited contact from such text pests.
