ICO, the U.K. Information Commissioner’s Office, reprimanded Surrey Police and Sussex Police for recording and saving more than 200,000 phone calls without people’s knowledge, through an app. The app was downloaded in the work phones of 1,015 staff members. The ICO considered that it is possible that a large variety of personal data was kept and that the processing of some data was “unfair and unlawful”.
